DESCRIPTION
Manati Lodge is a small and charming jungle inn located in one of the most beautiful regions of Rio Negro. Its structure resembles the riverside houses of the region and consists of six rooms, all following the same standard and measuring 16m2, which can accommodate up to 5 people in each room. It is ideal for families or groups of friends. Although large and spacious, all rooms are private and have their own bathroom. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, minibar and balcony with hammock overlooking the river and the forest. The roof, in addition to being ecological, because it is made from recycled plastic chips, is thermal insulation, allowing an even temperature on hotter days. The lodge does not have an electric shower, however the water stays at pleasant temperature all day.
LOCATION
It is located in the Black River, the Negro, a conservation unit that is part of the mosaic of conservation units along the entire Negro River. It is more precisely located on Lake Acajatuba, on the right bank of the Negro river, 60 km from Manaus in a straight line. It is close to the Anavilhanas Archipelago, which is the second largest archipelago of the world, habitat of great diversity of the fauna and flora in the Amazon.
PACKAGES
Harpia Package – 3 days 2 nights
Day 1 – We leave the hotel at 9am. Driving in the car for 1 hour on the AM070, passing by the Rio Negro Bridge, on the way you can see several farms and brick factories (brick factories), this is the main activity of the municipality of Iranduba. We will pass from the automobile to the motorized canoe for another 45 minutes (or 1h30 if in the dry period between October and January). This exciting part of the route can already be considered as a true tour, as we will pass through areas of flooded forests, canals, holes and riverside houses. Upon arrival at the lodge we will be greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and shortly after we met our accommodations. We will savor a delicious Amazonian lunch and soon after we will have a break to rest until 3.30 pm when we will leave in canoe to rowing for our first tour of the day. We will know the area around the hotel where there is a great possibility of seeing animals like monkeys and sloths. Return for dinner. Soon after we will leave in our motorized canoe for the second tour of the day: night focus. In this tour we will be able to see alligators and other animals of nocturnal habits.
Day 2 – After enjoying our regional breakfast consisting of fruits and other items from the famous Amazonian cuisine, we will leave in our canoe to the place where we will take a walk in an interpretive trail in the forest where we will know part of the rich Amazonian biodiversity through various plants and native trees, some with cosmetic purposes and others even for medicinal purposes. Return to the lodge for lunch. As usual, after our well-deserved rest of the afternoon, we will leave in our motorized canoe for a recreational fishery where we will meet the queen of the lakes and Amazonian rivers: The famous piranhas. We will return to the lodge at the end of the day and wait for dinner.
Day 3 – At 5:30 am we will awaken to the birds singing and we will leave in our motorized canoe in order to see and admire the beautiful Amazonian sunrise, surely these images will be kept a long time in his memory. Possibility to see birds and other animals like porpoises. Return for another lovely breakfast and then we will leave by canoe for our last and most exciting activity, let us meet and enchant us with the red dolphins, or better known as the pink – boto. You will have the opportunity to get in the water and stay very close, or rather, touch this docile animal, excellent opportunity for videos and souvenir photos. After this invigorating activity we will return to the lodge for lunch and shortly after 2:00 pm we will return to Manaus by the same route of arrival. Follow up to your hotel or airport.
Arapaima Package – 4 days 3 nights

Return for another lovely breakfast, after which we will leave by canoe to visit a Flour House, you will discover how the caboclos make this, which is a ubiquitous food in the Amazonian homes, you can still taste the famous tapioca with chestnut (if the time of this). In the afternoon, when the sun is cool, we will embark again in our canoe towards the quiet community of Our Lady of Perpetual Help or better known as Acajatuba Village. This small community despite being the largest of the lake counts approximately 54 families spread on an island surrounded by the black waters of Lake Acajatuba. We will meet Mrs. Marlene and her family who were the first residents of the community, the Handicraft Center, which receives help through courses from various NGOs and associations to help the community to have an extra income through the manufacture of handicrafts. We will also tour the village to get to know the health center and the school.
Day 4 – After our wonderful morning breakfast we will leave by canoe for our last and most exciting activity, we will meet and enchant us with the red dolphins, or better known as the pink buttonhook. You will have the opportunity to get in the water and stay very close, or rather, touch this docile animal, excellent opportunity for videos and souvenir photos. After this invigorating activity, we will return to the lodge for lunch and shortly after 2:00 pm we will return to Manaus for the same route of arrival. Follow up to your hotel or airport.
