Mirante do Gavião Lodge

DESCRIPTION

Those who live in the great Amazonian Plain feel the absence of highlands to observe the vastness of the forest and its great rivers. The Lodge Mirante do Gavião offers in its leisure areas, as well as a swimming pool, pier, lounge and restaurant, some gazebos arranged on the property, where you can relax and enjoy the most diverse types of visual: Black River, Anavilhanas Archipelago, our Birds or even the friendly Bugs-Sloth of our little forest.

LOCATION

The Mirante do Gavião Lodge is located near the city of Novo Airão, about 90 KM from Manaus.

PACKAGES

Tauatu Hawk Package (2 days / 1 night)

1st day: Arrival / City Tour in Novo Airão (optional: by bike)

– Transfer from Manaus to Novo Airão (2h30 – 200km) in air-conditioned vehicle.
– Lunch at CamuCamu Restaurant.
– City Tour in Novo Airão, with tour guide. Can be done with hotel bikes or at
motor vehicle.
– Optional in the afternoon: diving with buoys on the Rio Negro.
– Dinner at CamuCamu Restaurant.
– Optional included: Alligator and other nocturnal animals in the National Park
Anavilhanas by speedboat.

2nd day: Sunrise / Interaction with Porpoises / Departure

– Departure before breakfast for contemplation of the sunrise in the Anavilhanas Archipelago.
– Return for breakfast.
– Departure by speedboat for river bathing in freshwater beaches (dry season) or trail
by the igapós (flood season).
– On return visit to the Float of the Pink Dolphins.
– Return at 11:00 am to check out at the Lodge.
– 12: 00hs – complimentary breakfast in the Camu-Camu restaurant, subject to the unoccupied suite.
– 13: 00hs – transfer from Novo Airão to Manaus in air conditioned vehicle (duration 2:30 hours).

Caboclo Hawk Package (3 days / 2 nights)

1st day: Arrival / City Tour in Novo Airão (optional: by bike)

– Transfer from Manaus to Novo Airão (2h30 – 200km) in air-conditioned vehicle.
– Lunch at CamuCamu Restaurant.
– City Tour in Novo Airão, with tour guide. Can be done with hotel bikes or at
motor vehicle.
– Optional in the afternoon: diving with buoys on the Rio Negro.
– Dinner at CamuCamu Restaurant.
– Optional included: Alligator and other nocturnal animals in the National Park
Anavilhanas by speedboat.

2nd day: Beaches of Anavilhanas / Giant Tree / Traditional Community

– Breakfast in the restaurant CamuCamu.

– Estação da Seca: Soon after the coffee, departure by speedboat to visit the community Aracarí and
community of Bacaba. Interpretive trail in terra firme forest. Fish lunch
Amazonian roasted in the ember in a traditional house of the riverside caboclos. Then,
leisure trip on Bacaba Beach, in the heart of the Anavilhanas National Park.
After the refreshing bath, appreciation of the flora and fauna of the islands, rapid
largest tree of the Anavilhanas igapó, a giant Macucu, in foray into the lowland forest and
explanation of this peculiar ecosystem.

– Full Station: departure by speedboat to visit the community of Mirituba. Trail
in terra firme forest, with a visit to the largest arboreal species in the Amazon, the
Samaúma. Lunch of Amazonian fish roasted in the ember in traditional house of the caboclos
riverside Then, travel to the largest tree of the Anavilhanas igapó, a Macucu
giant in the paraná das Araras. Upon returning to the inn, foray into the igapó forest
for appreciation of the flora and fauna of that ecosystem.

– Dinner at CamuCamu Restaurant.

3rd day: Trail in the Woods / Madadá Caves / Caboclo Site / Piranha Fishery

– Breakfast in the restaurant CamuCamu.

– All seasons: Shortly after the coffee, exit in voadeira (1h30) for activity of trail
to the Madada Caves and its stone halls (full day – trekking for 3 hours
in primary forest). In the return, passage through site caboclo with orchard of native fruits.

– Full Station: Lunch at Mirante do Madada with a view of the Anavilhanas Archipelago.
Rest and contemplation in the hammocks of the Mirante, which counts on services of bathroom and toilet,
visit the giant tree of the Tanimbuca species and piranha fishery.

-Dry Station: Lunch in the straw hat of Sitio Caboclo, diving in the pedalos of Madada.
– Return to the Pousada (1h30), between islands of the Anavilhanas National Park.
– Dinner at CamuCamu Restaurant.

4th day: Sunrise / Dolphin Interaction / Departure

– Departure before breakfast for contemplation of the sunrise in the Anavilhanas Archipelago.
– Return for breakfast.
– Departure by speedboat for river bathing in freshwater beaches (dry season) or trail
by the igapós (flood season).
– On return visit to the Float of the Pink Dolphins.
