LOCATION
The Juma Amazon Lodge is located in a remote area 100 km southeast of Manaus, in a
totally preserved area of 7 thousand hectares. The trip there is made in vehicles and boats and lasts in
three hours (on the way, we went through the Water Meeting on the way and through the Pirarucu
return). There is also the alternative of hiring a seaplane (the trip takes 30 minutes).
ACCOMODATIONS
With only 21 bungalows, the Juma was built on dry land on stilts, in the treetops,
totally integrated to the Amazon Forest. This procedure is necessary to meet the
rise of rivers where the water level can rise up to 15 meters. Juma offers great features for a
jungle hotel, combining your environmental concerns with comfort. There are eight bungalows overlooking the
forest, twelve to the Juma River and a panoramic one. All have a balcony with hammock, bathroom with water
hot water generated by solar energy and fan (more than enough for the Amazonian night, cooler
which in the city).
Forest View Bungalows
The bungalows overlooking the forest are located between the reception and the restaurant. The localization
facilitates the displacement of the elderly and people with locomotion difficulties. And because they are close to
of the others, are a great option for families with small children.
River View Bungalows
These bungalows are in the treetops up to 15 meters from the river in the dry season and are located
in an exclusive area of the hotel, offering total privacy. They were designed to integrate
completely with the forest, being far from each other.
Panoramic Bungalow
The panoramic bungalow is our biggest bungalow! Located in the tree-tops, with 32 m² of area, is
equipped with a king-size bed and has a panoramic balcony around it, with two hammocks and a
complete and stunning view of the Juma River.
IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS
• The Juma is located in a region of acid water (Black river), so little mosquitos.
• Bar accounts can only be paid in cash. We do not accept credit card at the hotel.
• Due to space during the transfer, we recommend not to carry luggage over 10 kg.
• Bring swimsuits, sneakers, pants, cap, sunscreen, repellent, raincoat, flashlight and
binoculars.
