“Agendão do Natal” Turns Downtown Manaus into a Stage for Culture, Art, and Celebration

The Christmas spirit is already taking over Manaus and is set to energize the city’s downtown area throughout most of December. The Government of Amazonas has announced the Agendão do Natal, a broad, free, and inclusive program featuring theatrical performances, musical concerts, dance shows, art exhibitions, and the traditional Christmas Parades, bringing art and enchantment to multiple cultural venues across the capital.

The activities run through December 21, with select special events extending until February 2026, reinforcing the State’s commitment to cultural development, the activation of public spaces, and ensuring public access to high-quality artistic experiences.

Historic theaters such as Teatro Gebes Medeiros and Teatro da Instalação, along with iconic open-air locations like Largo São Sebastião and Parque Rio Negro, are transformed into vibrant celebration settings, offering moments of leisure, reflection, emotion, and family togetherness throughout the Christmas season.

All activities within the Agendão do Natal are completely free, with no prior registration required. The program is designed for audiences of all ages, promoting cultural inclusion, strengthening Amazonian identity, and encouraging social interaction during one of the most meaningful times of the year.

The event further establishes Manaus as a major cultural hub in Northern Brazil and reinforces the role of art as a powerful tool for transformation, belonging, and collective celebration.
